Interviews: After
Your interview does not stop when you leave the room. It is important you spend time reflecting on the experience and follow up
in a timely manner. Learn more about the post interview process below.
Reflection
Spending some time reflecting on your experience after an
interview is important not only to understand how you can
improve but also to further evaluate the position you are
interviewing for.
• What went well? What didn't go well?
• Were you prepared or do you need to do more research?
• What can you improve upon?
• Were there any unexpected questions? If so, how did you
handle them?
Follow Up
Following up after an interview is essential to demonstrate
continued interest, reinforce qualifications, and leave a
lasting impression on the interviewer.
• Send a thank you note or e-mail to your interviewers.
• Follow through with any additional information they
needed or asked for.
• If you haven’t heard back within the given time frame reach
back out for any updates.
